Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler's Representative in the Al Ain Region, the Abu Dhabi International Shozen Championship 'Grand Prix' will begin on Sunday morning and continue until January 30 at the Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club. The event will see the participation of 165 shooters representing 26 countries, with the tournament's prize money totaling $300,000.

On the first day of the championship, intense competitions were held for juniors in the under-12, under-14, and under-16 age categories. The athletes showcased high technical levels, reflecting the significant development within the junior athlete base and the prominent spirit of competition and discipline that has become a hallmark of local jujitsu tournaments. This is a clear indication of the success of training programs and specialized academies in discovering and nurturing talents from an early age, with direct support from families, who serve as a key partner in this endeavor.
